I am an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Science at Thompson Rivers University. My research focuses on computational biology, bioinformatics, data science, and statistical and machine learning methods, with applications in genomics, health, agriculture, and other interdisciplinary areas.

My work combines mathematical and computational approaches with real-world data to address complex research questions. I am particularly interested in comparative genomics, polyploidy and whole-genome duplication, biological network analysis, and the development of AI and data-driven methods for scientific discovery.

I also enjoy working with students and collaborators from diverse backgrounds and developing interdisciplinary projects that connect statistics, computing, and life sciences.
